Chris Cagle Tickets - Lined up for Country Jam

January 19th, 2009

By Brent Warnken

Over the years, contemporary country music icon Chris Cagle has all but proven true the title of his newest album My Life’s Been a Country Song, and this Houston-raised cowboy has been causing a ruckus in Nashville ever since the beginning of his incredible career. Now taking his act out of Nashville and infiltrating the rest of the nation, Cagle has recently been added to the list of country knockouts set to perform at one of the year’s biggest music festivals in the country.

Setting off for Eau Claire, Wisconsin this summer, Chris Cagle has been confirmed as one of the Country Jam 2009 performers to storm the stage from July 23 - 25, nailing down a July 24 performance alongside fellow contemporary country acts Heidi Newfield and Blake Shelton.

Pleasing Cheeseheads across the state, Cagle is just one of the country music acts to grace the stage. Other vocalists already confirmed as part of the Country Jam in Wisconsin are Phil Vassar, Tim McGraw, LoCash Cowboys, Jack Ingram, Neal McCoy and Sawyer Brown. Country Jam USA is one of the year’s biggest

Price shift is music to their ears (The Morning Call)

January 19th, 2009

More info…
Apples iTunes will drop the price of some song downloads from 99 cents to 69 cents. Although Apple Inc. announced this month that some songs sold on its market-leading iTunes online service would be available for 69 cents instead of the 99-cent tag Apple had insisted on for years, the change won’t necessarily put more money into the pockets of music lovers.

Music Teaching Tips based on My Experience

January 18th, 2009

By Earl Marsden

I would probably say that I was not the only one, who got bored looking at musical notes during a Music class years ago. Perhaps, it is because children just do not get fascinated with pages of lines and notes, colored black and white. Now, that I am no more a kid, I admit that its still dull to look at those stuffs and I still feel the same way.

I have nothing against reading musical notes but I would just rather sing than struggle dealing with such complicated matters. Music teaching tips might help me learn music easier, but I would also need of a very patient teacher to assist me so.

When I was in grade school, I used to be a member of a drum and lyre band. I experienced playing both the lyre and the drums and found the latter easier. However, I ended up playing the lyre. It was fun especially when we won awards in exhibition competitions. We also did caroling during Christmas holidays and played in different events and occasions.

I enjoyed playing those instruments

Internet Radio the New Wave of Radio

January 16th, 2009

By Gregg Forscher

Internet radio really could not be more simply stated as being audio broadcasting over the internet instead of by other means. It has also been called webcasting. What internet radio does is to pull all parts of the world together. Whereas in the past if you were listening to a radio station in New York City, you could only hear it in NYC. Now, if this radio station was connected up to the internet, anyone anywhere in the world could potentially listen to this radio station. Traditional radio stations typically had a broadcast range of about 100 miles. Within this broadcast range there was also only the potential of about 2 dozen stations.

The particular aspect of internet radio where a radio station takes its broadcast and puts it onto the internet began in 1994 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA. The first internet only radio station came around in 1995 and was and is called HardRadio and it was a licensed affair.

Internet radio should be available on cell phones and wireless in relatively short order. What about internet
